How to Stop Emotional Overeating

Do you overeat on your feelings? Do you struggle to maintain a stable weight? Do your eating behaviours or your weight affect your self-esteem, your self-confidence and your relationships? Are you tired of dieting? Would you like to explore a way to manage your feelings without food and to eat more mindfully?

If so, I would love you to join me at this evening workshop.

I spent the first few decades of my life obsessed with food, my body and my size. I overate on my feelings. I binged and starved. I ran for miles. I dieted like crazy. I lost weight, only to put it back on again. All that has changed.

I have been a stable and healthy weight for 10+ years. I don't diet, restrict or binge. I don't weigh myself. Clothes I had in my thirties still fit in my forties. I am at peace with my body and my shape. My mind is free from the food and weight obsession that plagued me for years. I have a lot more headspace and room for my creativity (I have written a book). I have healthy self-esteem. I am in a loving relationship and engaged to be married.

I now understand that my problem wasn't with food. It was with feelings. I ate to avoid my feelings or to numb them. Today, I try to feel my feelings and process them in healthy ways rather than stuffing them down with excess food.

About your workshop leader

I am a coach, writer and speaker on the topics of self-love, self-care, self-esteem, personal transformation and dating and relationships. I am also a former binge eater and compulsive exerciser who spent decades obsessed with food and weight. I am the author of How to Fall in Love and a contributor to the national media. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The venue is close to Holborn tube and on all major bus routes
