Christian Connection's 5th Birthday Party
With Comedian Milton Jones

This October 150 people celebrated Christian Connection's 5th anniversary at the Headliners Club in Chiswick, West London, with comedian Milton Jones.

The evening combined introductions, icebreakers, and some unique story-telling by Sarah Kirk. Party goers were then invited to try their hand at the limerick competition.

Next up was the star attraction, Milton Jones, the outstanding comedian fresh from recent triumphs on his own Radio 4 series (www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/miltonjones). He was full of his usual one-liners:

"If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that."

5 years of Christian Connection was celebrated with birthday cake and candles, and founder Jackie Elton spoke about the beginnings of the site. She noted in particular how the site went down just a few hours after launch, but things got a bit better after that...

Over the last 5 years:

• 30,000 people have joined the site
• 15 to 20 new members join each day
• There have been over 300 weddings (probably more - but they don't always tell us)

The next 5 years will be full of new challenges - nothing stands still.
