Chester - 1 Night Weekend with Network Christians

Stand on Chester City walls … and you are standing on 2000 years of history. Romans patrolled these walls to protect their fortress, Dewa.
Today’s Chester still has essentially the Roman street plan with an eclectic mix of buildings from the Middle Ages to the modern times.
Taking in the sights… After lunch in our hotel we will take a guided walk along the ancient walls and streets of Chester to see its many interesting sights. Having taken a break at the Cathedral you’re then free to join us on a stroll to the riverside or explore with others the famous Chester Rows, amphitheatre, Cathedral, Grosvenor Museum or the Dewa Roman Experience. There are also loads of interesting and unusual shops too. All return to our hotel for dinner.
On Sunday join us for a stroll or head to a local church service. Then return for our Sunday lunch before heading home.
Start: Sat 11.30 a.m. Finish: Sun 3 p.m. Age range: 30s-60s
Venue: The Holiday Inn South, Wrexham Road, Chester, CH4 9DL. All rooms en-suite with TV. Large heated swimming pool.
Travel: By car easily accessed off the A55. By train direct 2-hour service from London Euston.
