If you are looking for a cultural getaway … then visit York and be inspired. Renowned for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets and the iconic York Minster, York is a place that you will want to return to, again and again.
Enjoy its vibrant café culture, cruise along the Ouse or step back in time and discover its historic secrets. Wander through it’s many alleyways and the famous Shambles. Marvel at the interior of Fairfax House, a fine Georgian town house. Step into the Merchant Adventurers Hall, the finest preserved guild hall in Europe. Experience life in primitive Jorvik or go to the Treasurer's House for tales of ghostly Roman Legions.

In & around York: Our coach will collect us on Saturday morning to drop us in York. Choose from a range of interesting visits & activities. Return by coach to our hotel for our evening meal. Sunday morning coach into York . Luggage delivered to those travelling by train at 2 p.m. Coach to return drivers to hotel.
Venue: Burn Hall Hotel, Tollerton Road, Huby, York YO61 1JB. This is a great 3 Star hotel just outside York. All rooms are en suite with plasma TVs. Good restaurant food. Sunny terrace and gardens.
Start: Friday 6 p.m. (arrivals from 4 pm) Finish: Sunday 2.30 p.m. Age range: 30s to 60s
Travel to York: Regular direct trains from London then 20 minutes by taxi to the hotel. If you would like to share a taxi let us know when you book. If you’re coming by car there is plenty of free hotel parking.
